True Worshippers

Worship is not only singing a song to the Lord our God. What does a lifestyle of worship look like? But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24. Live in the “Spirit.” The Word is “truth.” Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6. Jesus saith, it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63. You truly worship God through his word, Jesus. Jesus life demonstrated true worship. He did the will of God his Father through his obedience, he glorified God, and he always spoke truth because he was the truth. Jesus life on earth worshipped God. We can live this life also in Him. He did only what he seen his Father God do. GOD IS SPIRIT! The Word was made flesh. See John 1:14. Jesus lived a life in the Spirit. The grace of God has given us a perfect gift. This gift has provided a life (Spirit) and truth (Word). The flesh is contrary to God. No true worship comes from the flesh, but by the Spirit only. How can we worship what is Spirit in the flesh? For I know that in me (that is in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing. See full verse Romans 7:18. Worship God as he has commanded, in spirit and truth. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5. We can never worship God without Him. He has given us himself through his son Jesus and filled us with his Holy Spirit. We know this because the Word tells us so. In the word (Jesus who is God) can we be in the spirit and in truth. Then and only then can we truly worship God! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! Bless His holy name, for he is holy!
